A function of the PMs trip was to visit local businesses whom are making a positive contributions to local economy. Being the largest privately owned waste and recycling business, and 100% NZ owned Smart Environmental make every effort to invest in local communities in which we operate.

Owner and managing Director of Smart Environmental, Grahame Christian is involved with a variety of economic development groups and this visit by John Key is a testamant to Grahames efforts to remain local and to create employment opportunities particularly in rural townships.
